The most important thing to say today is that the Presidency has been decided. Obama will beat "nice guy" Huckabee in a bloodbath next November. The pro-lifers have concentrated their vote on Huckabee and are ready to crown their Republican Dauphin.
Iowa Indies, Mods and Libs on the other hand have decided to be the bigger men, hate on the hater, and give Barrack a chance. One he might not have even needed from them, but for sure will not waste.
BTW: I am for Ron Paul first, Obama second, and McCain third. Can that line-up make sense to anyone other than me? Probably not
I'm compiling a top 10 or 100 list of things "the average guy" should start doing if he isn't already, and plan to shoot my blog's bolt with that soon.
Next year can we do a boycott of all the College Football bowl games so that 2010 will have a playoffs? In the words of Josh Brolin in NCFOM "How long would you keep looking for your two million dollars" (paraphrased). How many seasons would administrators go without their Christmas present? I'm guessing 0.5 at most.
You don't have to stop loving your team just spend more money on them during the season, give to the scholarship fund, or save it to get better seats at their next playoff game. Ok, your team makes it into a BCS game or cracks the top 10 for the first time in 17 years, you Hoosier fans go have a ball. However, perennial Alamo Bowlers must stay home and don't even peep if you are a Ohio State alum or pledge your allegiance to one of Florida's big three.
What about TV rights? Sign a petition in August to not watch any post season play and then watch it anyhow. Of course there is always the other option of waiting 25 years for college sports to go the way of Network Television and get a playoff system out of sheer desperation. Best wishes with that
