Franny and Zooey 5/10

Nice and short, plenty of "goddamn"s and "lousy"s, and never completely uninteresting , but I probably would have gotten more out of rereading C-Rye. This was my favorite passage.

"God damn it," he said, "there are nice things in the world and I mean nice things. We're all such morons to get so sidetracked. Always, always, always referring every goddamn thing that happens back to our lousy little egos." Behind him just then Franny blew her nose with guileless abandon;... Zooey turned around to look at her, somewhat censoriously..."My gosh what a family. You take your life in your hands if you just blow your nose."
