Doozies like John from Blech, trying and not loving "In Treatment" and "True Blood", middling episodes of "Entourage" and F of C, and the turn down of "Mad Men" unindentured me from HBO's service. So with my my vision unblurred by "Rome" love I know I can say I would really like this show no matter where it aired. What I am hopelessly not immune to, however, is NYC screenwriters. Allen, Stillman, Baumbach, and Burns get lapped up indecently and if the trajectory of Bored's first three episodes holds up Ames will be added to that elite list. Through three episodes I've LOL'd at lines from all three of the main characters, and only grimaced twice. It's worth it for the stroller jokes alone.
Sidenote: While it may have only been by 2 or 3 weeks I did reach my "Marlow in print phase" independently as I finally just viewed this today. Uncanny? Yes.
