Top Ten Albums of the Decade (or sorry you just got violently ill)

If you are going to make a top ten list it needs to be numerically ranked, that's it, period, do anything else and you are dumb. That said, here are my favorite albums of the decade unranked and listed autobiographically, which basically means these are my desert island albums that became most intertwined and associated with my college friends and post college years.
"Souls Aflame" and 1997's "The Wanderer" were the soundtrack to freshman year, and while I never listen to them now, I savor the thought of blasting both over beer, brats, and bros. The video for "Last Night" stopped me dead at a party sophomore year, and from that point on the Strokes were deemed impossible to overhype. I'm a shill for Mayer, and each track was held at one time to be the best. "College Dropout" had something for everybody, d-bags, girls, VH1, even bible beaters, and it also set me up to be a total Kayne sponge going forward. Plus, "Through the Wire" is the only cut of the oughts that provoked a couch toppling drunken wrestling match in defense of its honor.
To wrap this up, Jens and I are secret best friends, Guitar Romantic equals what I always wanted, Cut Copy moved electro like to electro love, and you can't get the lid on the other three because they are just bursting at the seams jam packed with 107% fun.
