Moving from the USA, London is as cool as I hoped it would be. How often does that happen? Everyday here! Just joshing.
Are people that relocate outside of the states effectively akin to first time brides/pregnants in acting like they are the original person that's ever partook in the process? I am.
On day one I finally had my first flat white, at the "fifth best coffeeshop in London" no less; which made me smile at first and then realize that that is basically like saying a player is the fifth best in the NBA.
Due to my limited experience with all three, I hold that this city is basically a combo of Sweden and NYC, except that I'd guess the Brit's choice of prepositions would be unfathomable in either locale. I think I am going to love "living" in a place where badminton (thousands are in clubs on meetup.com) and The Economist (read in public by women) are overrated, it's seemingly impossible to find non-free-range eggs, and Brief Encounter isn't a surprise.
