I've probably listened to too many comedian interviews via podcasts, and my first trip to a local comedy club to see a friendly person open was good but not something I'll repeat soon. The entire vibe of most comedians who aren't the two in the video below is something I need in lowish doses. Just listening to their albums is really probably the way to go, wow. Anthony Jeselnik's Shakespeare is the first one that comes to mind; if it wasn't so funny the roughness of it too wouldn't be worth it for me. "Vote for Anthony..." HA!
Jerry is a great American but I think my break from his "really" and (this had to be pointed out to me) just repeating what was said to him with sarcasm/slight sneer was healthy. I think the Brian Regan episode, however un-lifechanging is great and could still be time well spent for a non-fan. This series, with it's stellar premise, may be a sweet spot for me because while I haven't taken to TopGear I'm still only a man, and that blue leather interior mmm ooo.
Endnote: due to style not crassness that guy who was previously a suburban fav has never existed in my universe even without r-jokes, new bro dealbreaker.
