Not having stratospheric expectations for this documentary might have improved my viewing experience, but in any event I was fairly disappointed. It's kind of puzzling how the same inspired guy could make "
Helvetica", such a compelling film centered on what many would deem a bland subject, and then this deliberate and quiet investigation into one of the most interesting and unexplored topics imaginable. Dieter Rams was great but many of the people interviewed were almost boring, I especially loathed the lady who felt unduly burdened by the triteness of "democratization of design". That said
I still want this t-shirt.
