I just found out that Brian Regan's 1997 comedy CD is available on lala.com, so now seemed like a great time to dredge up something that has a permanent residence in my frontal lobe. Many people have heard Brian's other stuff via DVD or YouTube, but this first collection is by far his strongest.
"I Walked on the Moon" is also extremely rewarding and as the reviewers on Netflix repeatedly state, Regan's jokes are all totally clean. Which if they weren't also funny would be meaningless, but they are, and that inspires awe in me, and deserves at least an acknowledgement from even the most cynical Bill Hicks fan. Two or three of the twenty-four tracks do get a bit broad, but a vast majority of the disc is a "treasure I will take to my grave".
