Killer of Sheep 4/5

This loose film is a downer, but at a perfectly edited 83 minutes it gives you incredible black and white shots of Watts in the 70s, hilarious antics, pathos, some great dialogue and wraps before you can say "field greens". I wish this video didn't have the press quotes, but it was the best collection of scenes I could find.

I immediately downloaded this wrenching song last Saturday after hearing it for the first time when Shutter Island's credits rolled, so having it pop up again throughout this film unnecessarily stoked my obsession with the Joshua Tree Effect. I really like both versions.
