Real world song/artist discoveries were rare for me even when I was going to a substantial number of live shows, so when this song jerked my head toward a stall selling 7-inches at the Spitalfields Market it was a refreshing and unique experience. Being a collector of current LPs who refuses to compromise the shrink wrap I am loathe to admit that it sounded better in person. I thought I had a working knowledge of Northern Soul but this doesn't seem to be obscure on the internet, though 99% of the appreciators are Brits. Soul is good fun stuff, but I think that the line between the high grade and absolute "rubbish" is a fine one. I hope my ear is able to stay on the right side. Joytones - This Love
