Just got done watching the film and I am at a loss. It was powerful and very real. Maybe I'm off because it was in German, but I thought the acting and directing were perfect. I was surprised to find almost every single character compelling. If it wasn't for my misguided desire to conquer IMDB's Top 250 "Downfall" would have stayed in the middle of my queue. I'm very glad it didn't. This movie brings the evil and madness into perfect focus, without ever suffocating you. I think it is a force for good.
